About me

I hail from Leikanger, a tiny town in mid-western Norway. At 16, I moved to Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina, to study at United World College in Mostar.

After UWC Mostar, I studied Political Science and Economics at New York University Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, with semesters abroad in Washington, D.C., and Shanghai, China and shorter stints in New York, N.Y. and Accra, Ghana.

I am currently a PhD student in Duke University’s political science department, where I study political economy. Aside from my academic pursuits, I enjoy biking, photography, climbing, and tinkering with my Arduino boards. I also intermittently moonlight as a web application developer.
